The Tsarina Lutenist

Last but not least, there is my favourite one, the fairy tale of "The Tsarina Lutenist", the one that I enjoyed illustrating the most and which gave me the most satisfaction in terms of stylistic exercise, as well as being a very pretty fairy tale
.
Plot: A tsar decides to travel to the countries of the East, but once there, he falls into an ambush and is taken prisoner by a sultan. Having heard the news and not accepting the conditions of the ransom, the tsar's wife, a beautiful and intelligent tsarina, decides to disguise herself as a man and present herself at the sultan's court as a humble lutenist from Russia. Over time, thanks to her extraordinary skills as a lute player, the Tsarina gains the trust of the sultan, later managing to have her husband freed, who initially does not recognize her and addresses her as a friend, speaking ill of his wife who abandoned him, except then discover the truth and ask for forgiveness for not trusting her.
